About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Windows Escalation Engineer to join a fast-growing tech team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex Windows issues and collaborate closely with support and development teams to deliver top-tier solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex Windows issues escalated from front-line teams.
  • Analyze and replicate problems to understand root causes deeply.
  • Communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with customers, support engineers, and developers to gather information and troubleshoot issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation like troubleshooting guides, knowledge base articles, and best practices.
  • Offer valuable feedback to improve Windows products based on your troubleshooting experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10 & 11), including architecture and internals.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows debugging tools such as WinDbg and Procmon.
  • Skilled in crash dump analysis, memory analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in network analysis tools like Wireshark and Fiddler (VPNs, proxies).
  • Programming knowledge in C++, C#, or similar languages to analyze and debug code-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent in English.

Bonus Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Windows internals (COM, RPC, drivers).
  • Understanding of networking protocols.
  • Scripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Python, QA) to improve workflows.
  • Familiarity with Kusto/KQL for telemetry data analysis.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Windows system engineering, technical support, or escalation engineering roles.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex Windows environments and working with development teams.
