About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic, execution-focused Vice President of Corporate Development to lead inorganic growth initiatives across Included Health.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you’ll be responsible for developing and executing our buy/build/partner strategy identifying, evaluating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships that accelerate growth and expand our impact.

This is a senior leadership role that requires deep experience in healthcare, corporate finance, and deal execution, along with the ability to influence across executive teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership to define and execute the company’s corporate development strategy.
  • Align all growth initiatives with Included Health’s long-term strategic vision and mission.
  • Identify market trends, technologies, and opportunities that support the company’s buy/build/partner approach.

Deal Sourcing & Evaluation

  • Continuously monitor the competitive landscape and healthcare ecosystem to identify high-impact acquisition or partnership targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with founders, executives, VCs, bankers, and investors to source opportunities.
  • Lead financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation processes for prospective transactions.

Transaction Execution

  • Manage full-cycle M&A processes from sourcing and negotiation through integration.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Create frameworks and systems to standardize and scale deal evaluation and execution.
  • Ensure post-merger integration success and performance tracking.

Stakeholder & Executive Management

  • Communicate deal strategy, rationale, and progress to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Develop presentation materials and decision narratives for leadership alignment.
  • Represent Included Health externally in partnership discussions and industry forums.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred (top-tier business school experience is a plus).

Professional Experience

  • 15+ years of total professional experience.
  • At least 5 years in corporate development or M&A at a healthcare, health tech, or technology-driven company.
  • Background in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting is a plus, provided it includes in-house corporate development experience.
  • Proven track record of end-to-end transaction leadership, including sourcing, financial modeling, negotiation, and integration.
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and deal structuring.
  • Experience working with C-level executives, boards, and investors.
  • Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and executive presence.
