About the Role

As a Senior Sales Operations Manager, you’ll lead the design and execution of compensation and performance strategies that accelerate Zillow’s Enhanced Markets growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep sales operations expertise and strong analytical skills. You will work cross-functionally with Sales Finance, HR, Legal, and Leadership teams to craft compensation plans and performance metrics that drive results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Finance, HR, Legal, FP&A, and Sales Leadership to design and recommend compensation structures and performance measures aligned with business goals.
  • Build and manage quota assignments based on financial forecasts, ensuring fairness and business alignment.
  • Analyze compensation data, performance trends, ROI, and regional sales metrics to provide actionable insights.
  • Support the Sales Finance team with accurate data for compensation payout processing; resolve compensation-related cases and exceptions.
  • Develop variable compensation plans and leveling guides that motivate sales teams and align with organizational goals.
  • Track and optimize SPIFFs, incentives, and special sales programs.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with compensation attainment, partner network policies, and HR/legal requirements.
  • Drive operational improvements and support new sales initiatives across the business.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Sales Planning, or related functions.
  • Proven track record managing compensation programs, sales analytics, or performance management in high-growth, matrixed organizations.
  • Expertise with sales operations tools like Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data, develop actionable recommendations, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to deliver operational excellence and strategic outcomes.
