We’re looking for a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join our team and play a key role in managing various tax and regulatory filings. This is a remote position with preference for candidates located in Phoenix, AZ or Bluffton, SC, but we’re open to top talent across multiple U.S. states.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly sales & use tax returns with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain clear, organized workpapers to support tax filings for internal review.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase compliance efficiency.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual filings for 911 fees, federal excise tax, franchise fees, and other telecom-specific obligations.
• Handle business license filings and compute annual license fees.
• Support property tax compliance processes and reporting.
• Prepare month-end tax journal entries and reconciliations.
• Track tax authority notices and assist in drafting appropriate responses.
• Collaborate with billing teams to ensure correct tax and fee applications.
• Perform tax research and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Handle other related tax tasks as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of full-time indirect tax, sales/use tax, or related experience.
• CPA, CMI, or other relevant certifications are a plus (not required).
• Experience in telecom or utilities industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, reporting, and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax compliance software.
