About the Role
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pets. This is an opportunity to deliver meaningful care in a comforting environment while enjoying a flexible, balanced schedule.
As a mobile veterinarian, you will make a profound difference in the lives of pets and their families by providing peaceful end-of-life care in the comfort of their homes. You will join a supportive team of over 350 veterinarians and staff who prioritize collaboration, mentorship, and professional fulfillment.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct 2–4 appointments per day, providing compassionate, unrushed care to pets and their families.
- Deliver end-of-life services, including hospice and euthanasia, with dignity, empathy, and professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with families to answer questions, offer guidance, and provide emotional support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow best practices for in-home veterinary care.

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) from an accredited program
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to work some weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance
- Successful background and motor vehicle record check
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of clinical veterinary experience, ideally with hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate support to pet families.
- Familiarity with mobile or in-home veterinary practices is a plus.
