Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services to pets and their families. If you value professional fulfillment, personal well-being, and making a meaningful difference, this is the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care to pets in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Support families emotionally and educate them about end-of-life care options.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow company protocols.
  • Collaborate with support staff and fellow veterinarians for consistent, high-quality care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of animal welfare and client communication.

Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the United States.
  • Experience in small animal care or hospice/end-of-life care is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support pet families during sensitive times.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation for in-home visits.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Availability to work some weekends.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to animal care.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undergo background and motor vehicle record checks.
