Description
Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a Healthcare Analytics Consultant to join their purpose-driven team. This role focuses on leveraging strong technical skills and healthcare knowledge to support clinical and business stakeholders, providing analytics and advisory services to internal and external leaders.
As a Healthcare Analytics Consultant, you will analyze complex data sets, create engaging visualizations, and deliver actionable insights to drive healthcare initiatives. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure the success of strategic projects and improve overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Query and analyze data from various internal and external sources to generate meaningful insights.
- Develop dynamic dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Provide analytical support and consulting services to internal/external clients and senior leaders.
- Apply business intelligence skills to guide projects from conception to execution.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to diverse audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics (or 6+ years of relevant experience).
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages.
- Strong experience in data visualization and dashboard creation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Experience in healthcare payor, provider, pharmacy, public health, or epidemiology.
- Familiarity with Medicare Part D, STARS, or similar healthcare programs.
- Experience with version control tools like GitHub and automation tools such as Alteryx.
