Role Overview

As a Freelance Developer Consultant specializing in Ruby, you’ll play a key role in training and refining AI models focused on code quality and software development. You will work on complex tasks like code generation, code review, prompt evaluation, and large language model training. This remote, flexible role allows you to contribute your expertise on your own schedule while advancing AI capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Generate and review Ruby code, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices
• Evaluate prompts and annotate complex data for AI training
• Train and assess AI models using your software development expertise
• Benchmark code execution in secure sandbox environments
• Work across multiple programming languages including Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Rust, and SQL
• Adapt project guidelines to new domains and evolving requirements
• Collaborate closely with project leads, engineers, and supply managers on experimental AI projects

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Ruby development, including testing frameworks such as RSpec, Minitest, and Capybara
• Strong expertise in code review, identifying/fixing code smells, anti-patterns, and test gaps
• Experience integrating tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and automated deployment processes
• Experience using or training others on AI/ML-powered coding or testing tools in Ruby projects
• Skilled in defect documentation, profiling, and debugging Ruby applications
• Proven ability to generate clear, comprehensive documentation for tests, bugs, and technical debt
• Competitive coding or hackathon participation is a plus
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above)
• Adaptable, quick learner comfortable with complex and evolving guidelines
