The Role:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be key to ensuring Beckman Coulter’s diagnostic equipment performs at its best. This fully remote position (within the San Antonio area) involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex medical instrumentation related to Hematology, Microbiology, and Urinalysis platforms.

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot, install, validate, and maintain diagnostic equipment.
• Perform service repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and technical training to clients.
• Maintain accurate service records and order necessary parts.
• Travel locally (30-40%) to various customer sites.
• Mentor and assist junior field engineers.

Education & Experience:

• Associate degree in Engineering, Biomedical Technology, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, or electronic equipment.
• Previous biomedical engineering or healthcare technology experience is a plus.

Skills & Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and reaching.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Comfortable with remote work and travel within the San Antonio area.
