About the Role
SailPoint is looking for an experienced and strategic leader to head Product and Application Security. In this high-impact director-level role, you will lead a team of product security engineers, collaborating with DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams to secure SailPoint’s software platforms, including SaaS, on-premises, and AI-based products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SailPoint’s enterprise-wide product security strategy.
- Integrate security into DevSecOps, SDLC, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee secure architecture, threat modeling, and resilience frameworks.
- Drive adoption of secure coding practices and vulnerability management tools.
- Mentor and build a high-performing Product Security team.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats and regulatory trends.
- Partner with legal, risk, and compliance teams to ensure global security standards are met.
- Measure program performance through well-defined KPIs.
Requirements
Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with at least 7+ years in leadership roles focused on product or application security.
- Proven experience with secure software development, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI security frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and secure architecture practices.
- Familiarity with modern vulnerabilities (e.g., XXE, SSRF, Injection flaws).
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, GCIH, or GCIA are preferred.
Skills:
- Visionary leadership with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Change management experience in embedding security into product development.
- Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and retain talent.
