Director of IT

Location: Remote

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Director of IT to lead the IT strategy and operations for a fast-growing tech company. You’ll oversee IT infrastructure, security, and support across multiple locations and remote teams. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership to ensure IT systems scale efficiently with business growth, while maintaining top-tier reliability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned with company growth and R&D goals.
• Manage enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud platforms to ensure uptime and performance.
• Lead implementations of collaboration, productivity, and ERP systems supporting cross-functional teams.
• Support IoT and edge-device deployments critical to technology operations.
• Partner with security teams to oversee identity management, endpoint protection, and compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Build and mentor a high-performing IT team fostering innovation and operational excellence.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, procurement, and contracts.
• Set and monitor SLAs for IT support across offices and operational sites, driving continuous improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing IT environments in fast-growing, tech-driven companies.
• Expertise in networking, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), identity management, enterprise systems, and IT security frameworks.
• Experience supporting multi-location and remote teams.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and scale IT teams and infrastructure.
• Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
• Experience with IoT deployments, robotics, or live operational environments is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable.
• Background in IT budgeting, mergers & acquisitions, and strategic IT planning is an advantage.
