About the Role:
KinaTrax is seeking a Database Architect (Full Stack) to design and optimize large-scale database systems powering advanced sports performance analytics. This fully remote role combines backend and frontend development to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions for elite athletes and professional sports organizations. You’ll play a key role in building systems that capture, process, and visualize biomechanical and motion-tracking data, helping teams and athletes gain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases for large biomechanics and motion capture datasets.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs for internal and client-facing applications.
  • Develop scalable cloud-based storage and access solutions using AWS, Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Implement server load balancing and optimize system performance for fast, reliable data delivery.
  • Collaborate on web-based reporting and visualization tools for data analysis.
  • Enhance UI/UX for client-facing dashboards and interfaces.
  • Integrate hardware and software solutions for efficient data capture and processing.
  • Contribute to internal tools that improve system efficiency, data management, and sharing.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver innovative sports analytics solutions.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in database architecture, full-stack development, or cloud-based systems.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, Ruby, MySQL, JavaScript (React, Node.js).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Cloudflare) and RESTful API development.
  • Strong knowledge of performance optimization and memory-efficient coding practices.
  • Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with motion capture technology or sports analytics is a plus.
  • Passion for sports and leveraging data to enhance athletic performance.
