Role Description
As a Data Scientist on our Patient Experience team, your mission is to build innovative, data-driven products that enhance patient engagement and retention. You will help create meaningful connections with patients and keep them engaged throughout their care journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become an expert in patient behavior, engagement patterns, and retention drivers to shape our patient experience strategy.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to guide the development of engagement-focused features, such as conversation topic categorization and patient journey segmentation.
- Contribute to AI-powered product development, including content generation, dynamic intake forms, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with engineers through the full product lifecycle, from research and prototyping to implementation and performance monitoring.
- Build data pipelines and analytics infrastructure to measure patient engagement and optimize product performance.
- Perform comprehensive analyses to measure product effectiveness, conduct A/B tests, and quantify impacts on clinical and business outcomes.
- Work closely with Product, Clinical, and Engineering teams to turn patient insights into actionable product improvements.
Who You Are
- Product-minded data scientist and innovative problem solver passionate about improving maternal health outcomes.
- Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to scope and implement data-driven solutions for complex, ambiguous problems.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced coursework or certifications in healthcare analytics, AI, or product analytics is a plus.
Experience
- 4+ years of professional experience in data science, product analytics, or data engineering.
- 2+ years of experience working in healthcare or consumer health products.
- Expertise in SQL and Python, with experience across the full data stack.
- Experience with product prototyping, A/B testing, and user behavior analysis.
- Bonus: Experience in AI model development, healthcare AI, clinical decision support, medical NLP, data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Metabase), or modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow, Snowflake).
