About the Role:
Join a cutting-edge team where you’ll design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions powering business intelligence and advanced analytics. As a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable ETL pipelines, manage BigQuery data warehouses, and enhance BI tools like Looker. What You’ll Do:
- Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Dataflow.
- Automate deployment and infrastructure management using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Develop and optimize Looker dashboards, queries, and derived tables for peak performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud data lake operations and resource usage.
- Design efficient data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data products.
- Write complex SQL queries and implement robust ETL workflows.
- Senior Engineers will assess technical risks, optimize workflows, and mentor team members.
What We’re Looking For:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Data Engineer: Minimum 3 years experience with Google BigQuery and cloud data engineering.
- Senior Data Engineer: Additional 5+ years of experience with advanced data warehousing and cloud architecture.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and scripting languages (Bash; Go is a plus).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub, Jenkins), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Familiarity with GCP services (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, IAM).
- Expertise in managing and optimizing Looker environments, including LookML coding.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and data lake architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile teams.
