Position Overview

As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building and managing robust data pipelines that deliver timely, accurate insights to management, engineering, and business teams. You’ll automate and optimize data flows, create scalable ETL processes, and develop business intelligence tools that empower data-driven decisions. This is your chance to work with a cutting-edge cloud-native stack including AWS, Terraform, Docker, DBT, and Python, while contributing to a fast-growing startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data flows connecting operational systems to analytics and BI platforms.
  • Automate and scale data pipelines by re-engineering manual workflows.
  • Develop efficient ETL scripts and processes to ensure data quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with business teams to map requirements and identify data-driven opportunities.
  • Build reusable business intelligence reports and accessible datasets for analysis.
  • Develop tooling to support AI and machine learning data pipelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Data Engineering using tools like DBT, Spark, Python, AWS Athena, Presto, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in data engineering, cloud technologies, or analytics are a plus.

Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data modeling, and data warehouse technologies.
  • Familiarity with BI tools and dashboards to present actionable insights.
  • Exposure to AI/ML data pipeline support is highly desirable.
