About the Role
We’re seeking a Customer Care Extraordinaire III to join our dynamic and supportive team. In this role, you’ll be the trusted advisor for members, providers, and clients offering clear, accurate, and compassionate support to ensure seamless experiences. You’ll handle inquiries about eligibility, benefits, and claim statuses while representing HMA’s values: People First, Be Extraordinary, Work Courageously, Own It, and Win Together.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providers, and clients.
- Provide accurate information regarding eligibility, benefits, and claim status.
- Research and resolve inquiries efficiently while maintaining excellent communication.
- Maintain professionalism and empathy in every interaction.
- Document customer interactions and resolutions clearly and promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Strive for first-call resolution and deliver exceptional support experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a customer service or call center role (healthcare experience preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical, dental, or vision terminology preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and in a team.
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with attention to detail.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (college education preferred).
- Experience: 1+ year in customer service, call center, or healthcare administration.
