About the Role
Are you a seasoned Accounts Payable professional ready to lead a dynamic team and optimize financial operations? Join Epiq as an Accounts Payable Manager and play a pivotal role in managing invoice processing, vendor relationships, and payment forecasting for a fast-growing organization.
This hands-on leadership position is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining compliance, and driving process improvements to maximize efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the accounts payable team, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee daily invoice processing, payment scheduling, and expense report management with precision.
- Administer corporate card programs, ensuring adherence to policies and proper use.
- Develop, implement, and enforce accounts payable policies and procedures aligned with company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Accounting, and Finance to ensure smooth vendor payment processes.
- Proactively manage vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving disputes efficiently.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and vendor performance metrics.
- Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Partner with Tax and Legal teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations and support audits.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or related finance roles.
- Proven leadership experience managing a team of accounts payable professionals.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems (SAP/S4Hana preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a focus on accuracy.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and navigating complex payment cycles.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements related to accounts payable.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Accounts Payable Manager (CAPM) or Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) are a plus.
