Muslims around the whole world perform Hajj in makkah and it’s compulsory for every muslim to perform Hajj once in life if you have a good status. Today we will discuss steps to perform Hajj.
1 Sincere apology: The first step is to ask Allah to forgive your sins and then prepare yourself for Hajj . Bring a towel, wet wipes , sunblock and ihram because you need all these in warm weather.
2 Ihram : Ihram is the name of white cloth which is compulsory to wear if you are performing Hajj . Women wear white or black clothes while men wear two plain unstitched white sheets of cloth.
3 Tawaf : In tawaf you have to move in a circle around the kabba seven times . This step is also performed during Umrah. Remember one thing you have to start and end at the black stone and in Islam the black stone is called Hajar al-Aswad.
4 Safa and Marwah: Now in the next step you have to walk or run between the hills of safa and Marwah . You have to do it seven times . Safa and Marwah symbolise hazrat hajra efforts to find water for her son in the hot weather of Makkah.
5 Arafat: Now after the third step you have to spend the day in Arafat. It’s a plain area where Muslims remember Hazrat muhammad last sermon (last khutbah). Muslims perform the prayers of asar and zuhar together at Arafat. A sermon is also delivered from Masjid al Nimrah and muslims are encouraged to listen to the sermon carefully. If you are not performing Hajj you can fast on 9 Dul hijjah.
6 Muzdalifah: It is a flat area between arafat and mina. It’s the location where the hajj performers spend their night. They also collect stones from Muzdalifah which are used on 10 Dul Hijjah( details will be discussed in next step). The whole night they remember Allah and recite the Quran.
7 Jamarat: Performers throw pebbles at three stone structures . Basically these are walls made of stones and it symbolises rejecting evil and only believing in Allah.

8 Qurbani: In this step Muslims sacrifice their animals on Eid ul adha . It revolves around the story of Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismael. He was sacrificing his son for god but god sent ram ( sheep) and he sacrificed sheep.
9 last step: After jamarat muslims perform a last Tawaf. It is usually performed after returning from Mina. In Hajj Muslims also cut or shave their hairs and through this Hajj is completed.
●After all the steps mentioned earlier Muslims perform a farewell tawaf and leave Makkah.
● Hajj takes place every year and muslims around the world perform it and seek Allah guidance.
●The first Hajj was performed by Holy prophet Muhammad. Many muslims save their money their whole life just to perform Hajj once in life.
