About the Role

Qmunity Foundation is seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Marketing Specialist Intern to join our marketing and communications team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about digital media, advocacy, and storytelling. You will play a key role in crafting compelling social media campaigns that raise awareness, engage our community, and promote Qmunity’s programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage engaging content for Qmunity’s social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Plan and execute digital campaigns aligned with advocacy and outreach goals.
  • Create visually appealing posts, short videos, and written content that reflect Qmunity’s voice and mission.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and build meaningful online relationships.
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, social media best practices, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Social Media Marketing, Content Creation, and Digital Campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setup.
  • Passion for advocacy, equality, and LGBTQIA+ community issues.
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or Later is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in digital marketing, content creation, or nonprofit communications (through internships or volunteer work) is highly preferred.
