Job Overview
Sentara Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join its compassionate healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform both clinical and administrative tasks under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner. You’ll ensure high-quality patient care and safety while assisting with daily operations in a fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient care procedures under supervision of licensed medical staff.
- Handle administrative duties such as patient documentation and scheduling.

- Provide a compassionate and professional experience for patients and families.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications (one required upon hire):
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or
- EMT Basic Certification (EMT).
- Experience: No prior experience required — on-the-job training provided.
- Additional Requirement: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
