Description

Guidehouse is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to manage and maintain provider credentialing processes. This role ensures that all healthcare providers meet client, legal, and regulatory standards while maintaining the integrity of credentialing databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, process, monitor, and maintain initial and reappointment credentialing for designated providers.
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, company policies, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Gather, verify, and evaluate healthcare provider credentials; identify potential issues and determine follow-up actions.
  • Enroll new providers with third-party and government payers, maintain active provider records, and submit timely termination requests when needed.
  • Maintain and update credentialing databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Assist with CAQH applications and other credentialing-related administrative tasks.
  • Provide timely updates to leadership, clients, and teams regarding outstanding items or issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3+ years in healthcare provider credentialing, enrollment, or a related administrative role. Experience with credentialing software and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with proficiency in researching credentialing guidelines.
