Teladoc Health, a global leader in whole-person virtual care, is seeking a Health Plan Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a strategic, relationship-focused professional who thrives in healthcare innovation and is passionate about improving patient outcomes.
About the Role
As a Health Plan Manager, you will manage and grow Teladoc Health’s relationships with major insurance companies, building strategic connections across multiple levels, including executive leadership. You will drive revenue growth, expand product adoption, and strengthen market presence within your accounts.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams—including product, clinical, data science, implementation, and finance—to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives while delivering exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand Teladoc Health market share by identifying new opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Develop quarterly reports and data-driven insights to communicate Teladoc Health’s value proposition to executive-level clients.
- Build and maintain detailed account plans, forecasts, and mapping processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives and deliver on account objectives.
- Maximize revenue and margin goals while managing budgets effectively.
- Resolve account-related issues and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Stay informed of market trends, healthcare industry developments, and competitive landscape to provide strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years in health plan payer management or strategic account management within healthcare.
- Proven track record of managing complex accounts and driving business growth.
- Experience collaborating with executive-level stakeholders and presenting strategic insights.
- Project management experience with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Preferred: Experience with Federal Government or Military healthcare accounts.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as required (≥10%).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Startup or technology experience is a plus.
