Description

General Motors is looking for a strategic and sales-focused Retail Innovation Manager (RIM) to drive dealer innovation and elevate the customer retail experience across Minnesota. This role blends strategic thinking, sales expertise, and field operations to implement GM’s Retailing Model at the dealer level while supporting regional priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enrollment, launch, and facilitation of major retail initiatives like CarBravo and Digital Retail Platform (DRP).
  • Guide dealers through the full DRP implementation lifecycle: onboarding, training, utilization tracking, and performance review.
  • Translate corporate retail strategy into actionable regional plans.
  • Conduct dealer visits to build strong relationships, foster trust, and drive adoption of sales initiatives.
  • Support integration of Mobile Service+, Vehicle Ordering, and Fulfillment Center processes.
  • Introduce, test, and scale innovative retail practices to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Use data insights to support continuous improvement and inform strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate regional travel for dealer visits, training, and strategy sessions (up to 50%).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5–7+ years in sales, dealership operations, retail innovation, or field automotive roles.
    • Proven success as a District Sales Manager or in a similar field role.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead sales growth, support transformational change, and enhance customer service excellence.
    • Skilled in project management, digital retail platforms, and retail technology systems.
    • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Adept at building and maintaining relationships across all levels of the organization.
