The Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, YouTube Paid Performance a YouTube performance marketing expert who will take full ownership of Launch Potato’s YouTube business.

This is a career-defining role, combining hands-on campaign management with high-level strategy. You will:

  • Own campaign execution, P&L, and growth targets
  • Test new creatives and develop best-in-class playbooks
  • Expand into other video performance platforms over time

This role offers a clear path to leading performance video across brands and verticals within Launch Potato.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own campaign performance, pacing, reporting, operations, and P&L for Insurance YouTube campaigns
  • Deliver 2x annualized run rate in Year 1 at a minimum of 110% ROAS
  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Drive improvements in CTR, CVR, ROAS, and margin through creative testing
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-performing video content
  • Expand campaigns into new verticals, including insurance and financial services
  • Build and lead a video-first performance marketing team
  • Work with internal and external teams to target high-value customers
  • Share insights and best practices across the Paid Media team

  • Setting the standard for ownership and operational excellence
  • Generating insights that improve overall paid media performance
  • Becoming the go-to expert for video-first performance marketing
  • Laying the foundation for a high-performing video team under your leadership

Must-Have Skills & Competencies

  • Proven success in profitably scaling brands on YouTube
  • Strong analytical skills with Looker, Google Analytics, Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, regression analysis, correlation, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of high-performing creative strategies (YouTube ABCDs, briefs, video production)
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership and hitting aggressive growth goals
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience managing YouTube budgets of $20M+/year

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with linear TV, streaming, or other video-first platforms (Meta, TikTok)
  • Familiarity with MMM tools and video measurement solutions
  • Knowledge of AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, MidJourney, etc.)
  • Background in personal finance and consumer financial products
  • Experience mentoring peers or leading knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Familiarity with competitor analysis tools (SimilarWeb, AdBeat, Ahrefs, SpyFu)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Communications, or a related field
  • Advanced certifications in Digital Marketing, Google Ads, YouTube Ads, or Analytics are a plus

Experience

  • 6+ years managing and scaling YouTube performance-based portfolios
  • Hands-on experience in campaign execution, reporting, and strategy
  • Proven record of driving profitability and growth in digital media campaigns
