About the Role:
We’re seeking a visionary Director of Engineering – AI to lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI platforms and machine learning applications. This hands-on leadership role involves guiding technical strategy, building high-performing AI/ML teams, and driving innovation across multiple business lines. You will work closely with product, infrastructure, and data science teams to deliver AI-powered solutions that transform business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development and execution of enterprise AI platforms and machine learning solutions.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, production-ready AI models.
• Oversee advanced AI initiatives including LLMs, vector databases, and statistical frameworks.
• Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to integrate AI into products and systems.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow world-class AI/ML talent while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies and trends, representing the company at conferences and industry events.
• Ensure all AI initiatives adhere to ethical standards, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead special projects as needed to support organizational goals.

Who You Are:

• Education: MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computational Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience:
• 10+ years in machine learning, AI, and data science in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
• 5+ years leading and developing AI/ML teams.
• Proven track record of delivering AI-driven products and features that drive measurable business impact.
• Technical expertise spanning software engineering, systems engineering, ML, computational modeling, cloud-based AI, and GPU computing.
• Experience with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and production-grade AI systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).
