About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to lead scalable backend development and manage cloud infrastructure. This role suits someone with strong AWS expertise, experience with backend systems, and a passion for secure, high-performance, compliant systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Work with FastAPI-based APIs, PostgreSQL databases, and event-driven tools like Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee AWS environments (VPC, ECS/EKS, Route 53, Cloudflare) with multi-region deployments for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce HIPAA standards, manage IAM policies, and implement secure authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT) following Zero Trust principles.
• DevOps & Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation, and automate containerized workloads.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Implement observability practices including log aggregation, distributed tracing, and multi-region monitoring with alerting.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure/DevOps roles with hands-on expertise in AWS services.
• Strong backend development skills with Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, and Kubernetes (ECS/EKS).
• Skilled in CI/CD automation tools, especially GitHub Actions.
• Deep understanding of security best practices and HIPAA compliance in cloud environments.
• Proven experience managing multi-region deployments and disaster recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.
