About the Role

Join our dynamic sales team as a Sales Representative II covering the Baltimore territory. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to manage and grow your own territory, focused on selling lab products and consumables to a diverse customer base including academic, industrial, and clinical clients. You’ll work independently to build strong customer relationships, increase sales, and introduce new products, all while representing a global leader in scientific products.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with purchasing agents and end-users within your territory.
  • Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, and vendor relations to drive sales growth.
  • Research market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to adapt your sales approach.
  • Negotiate pricing within your territory to ensure profitability.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Provide customers with insights on supply, price trends, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Travel regularly throughout the Baltimore area and surrounding regions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science-related field such as Biology or Chemistry.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of successful field sales experience, ideally in laboratory supplies, diagnostics, or related scientific/clinical distribution.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using internet-based tools.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
