Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee our accounts payable department. You will play a critical role in managing vendor payments, forecasting cash flow, and ensuring smooth financial operations. Your leadership will help the team process invoices accurately and on time while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Manage and administer corporate card programs and policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounts payable policies and best practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations (local, state, federal)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Accounting, Finance, and Tax teams
- Monitor accounts payable performance and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
- Manage vendor relationships, resolve payment disputes, and oversee invoice lifecycle management
- Prepare financial reports such as aging reports, cash flow projections, and vendor KPIs
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounts payable staff
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or finance roles, including team leadership
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems, preferably SAP/S4Hana
- Proven expertise in accounts payable management, process improvement, and compliance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with tax regulations and vendor management
- Professional certifications (CAPA, CAPP, or CAPM) are a plus
