Role Overview

We’re looking for a skilled Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to lead scalable backend development and cloud architecture initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity if you’re experienced in AWS cloud environments and passionate about building secure, high-performance systems.

You’ll collaborate closely with backend development teams, focusing on modern DevOps best practices, automation, and compliance with healthcare industry standards (HIPAA).

What You’ll Do

• Develop backend components using FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and event-driven systems like Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Design, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure (VPC, ECS/EKS, Route 53, Cloudflare).
• Implement security standards including HIPAA compliance, IAM policies, OAuth 2.0/OIDC/JWT authentication, and Zero Trust principles.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Define Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Automate containerized workloads and multi-region cloud deployments for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Set up observability and monitoring tools, including log aggregation and distributed tracing, with automated alerts.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in infrastructure and DevOps roles with strong AWS expertise.
• Backend Skills: Hands-on with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL (including Aurora/RDS), and async message brokers (Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Cloud Mastery: Deep knowledge of AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, RDS, S3, ALB, Route 53, API Gateway, ECS, and EKS.
• Automation: Proficient with Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and container orchestration.
• Security: Strong grasp of security best practices and HIPAA compliance.
• Reliability: Experience with multi-region deployments, disaster recovery, and observability tools.
• Communication: Ability to work effectively in English with global teams.

Education & Experience (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record managing complex cloud infrastructures and backend systems in regulated industries, ideally healthcare or fintech.
• Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer a plus.
