About the Role

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to join the Medicine Oncology team. This is your chance to grow in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with opportunities to advance your nursing career.

You’ll work in a varied Med/Surg mixed unit, caring for patients with a wide range of medical conditions including oncology, CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, sickle cell, and more. You’ll gain hands-on experience with advanced procedures like wound vacs, telemetry, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care in accordance with nursing standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
• Monitor patients, administer medications, and manage treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Participate in hospital committees and contribute ideas to enhance patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.

Education & Certification

• RN-Associate’s, RN-Bachelor’s, RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s degree.
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing.
• BLS Certification (within 90 days of hire).
• Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card (within 6 months of hire).

Experience:

• New Graduate Nurses are welcome to apply!
• Transition to Practice Program is available to support new RNs.
• Oncology or Med/Surg experience is a plus.
