Role Overview

As an Associate Thought Leader Liaison (TLL), you will be a vital link between key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare institutions, and Ascendis’ internal teams (marketing, medical, commercial). Your goal is to support rare disease and endocrinology brand growth by building strong advocacy, managing speaker bureaus, gathering market insights, and driving effective engagement strategies. You will collaborate cross-functionally while reporting to the Director of Market Development.

What You’ll Do

• Manage speaker bureau recruitment, training, and engagement aligned with brand strategies.
• Serve as the main contact for contracted speakers, supporting their training, messaging, and presentation skills.
• Collaborate with marketing and medical teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.
• Build and maintain relationships with KOLs and emerging thought leaders in rare diseases and endocrinology.
• Facilitate peer-to-peer educational initiatives and advisory boards.
• Gather insights from congresses, advisory boards, and field activities to support strategic planning and campaigns.
• Ensure all engagements comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
• Document and report all activities and outcomes accurately.
• Support onboarding and training of new TLLs and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industries, including at least 5 years in marketing or field roles.
• Minimum 3 years’ direct experience as a Thought Leader Liaison or similar role is highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of rare diseases, genetics, or related therapeutic areas; endocrinology experience is a plus.
• Passion for scientific engagement and building advocacy with healthcare providers.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze insights and translate them into actionable marketing strategies.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Comfortable managing compliant speaker initiatives.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Must reside near a major airport for travel convenience.
