Position Overview

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mixed Intermediate Care/Medical-Surgical FLEXI team.

In this flexible part-time position (4 hours per week), you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working with an exceptional interdisciplinary team. You’ll apply the nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver the highest level of care and support to patients in a mixed IMC/MS environment.

This is a day shift opportunity ideal for nurses seeking schedule flexibility while making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients in IMC/MS settings.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment, and health promotion.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.

Education Requirements

• Required:
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN), Nursing Diploma, or Master’s in Nursing
• Preferred:
• BSN or higher degree for career advancement and leadership opportunities
• Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: 1 year of clinical nursing experience (hospital or acute care setting preferred)
• Experience in Intermediate Care (IMC) or Medical-Surgical (MS) units is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
