Your Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with rentals and services.
• Use U-Haul’s smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage inventory and rentals.
• Move, hook up, and inspect trucks and trailers, including fluid checks.
• Answer questions and educate customers on U-Haul products and services.
• Prepare rental invoices and process equipment returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane tanks and operate forklifts (certifications provided on the job).
• Maintain clean, safe equipment and participate in ongoing training through U-Haul University.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Prior customer service or retail experience is a plus but not required on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing at least 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors, sometimes around moving equipment or chemicals.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Moderate risks requiring safety precautions (e.g., gloves, masks, goggles).
• Physical activity includes standing for long periods, moving equipment, and reaching objects at various heights.
