Your Role:

As Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you’ll shape the future of personalization at Launch Potato. You will lead the technical vision for recommendation systems, tackling some of the most complex ML challenges in the industry. Your work will influence product strategy, architecture, and innovation across multiple teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and drive company-wide personalization strategies and architecture
• Solve challenges like cold start, real-time learning, and exploration/exploitation trade-offs
• Design and build advanced ML models, including graph neural networks, causal inference models, and multi-armed bandits
• Set standards and reusable infrastructure for ML across teams
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that boost key business metrics
• Mentor senior engineers and elevate technical excellence
• Represent Launch Potato at conferences and in publications
• Champion responsible AI, privacy-preserving personalization, and adaptive learning

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
• 10+ years of experience building and deploying large-scale ML systems focused on personalization or recommendation engines
• Proven track record of driving 0→1 innovation in ML platforms serving billions of predictions
• Deep expertise in machine learning domains: deep learning, causal inference, bandit algorithms, graph-based models
• Recognized thought leader with patents, publications, or significant product contributions
• Strong leadership and mentorship experience
