About the Role

Join the dynamic team at The Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at Penn State York as a Stage Hand. This part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about live performance production. As a Stage Hand, you'll contribute behind the scenes to ensure the seamless execution of performances, concerts, and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lighting, sound, video, and stage equipment.
• Assist with stage construction, scenery changes, and prop handling.
• Support wardrobe and costume changes as needed.
• Follow directions from the technical director and production team.
• Perform physically demanding tasks as part of a coordinated team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in live event or stage production.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable with fast-paced environments and last-minute changes.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Willingness to work flexible, irregular hours depending on the event schedule.

Suggested Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Relevant technical or trade school certification (preferred but not mandatory).
• Students pursuing a degree in Theater Production, Performing Arts, or Event Management are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule

• Part-time | On-call / Event-based
• No regular shift; work is scheduled based on event needs.
