Job Overview

As a Local SEO & Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing local search campaigns for clients. Your hands-on role includes auditing accounts, implementing improvements, and aligning SEO strategies with best practices. You'll manage keyword research, Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization, analytics setup, and backlink strategies to ensure clients rank high in local search results.

Key Responsibilities

Local SEO Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute 90-day local SEO plans to meet client KPIs
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitor analysis for local markets
  • Optimize and maintain Google Business Profiles (GBPs) for peak visibility
  • Manage and correct citations across local directories
  • Track and analyze local rankings, GBP engagement, and organic traffic trends
  • Provide actionable insights based on SEO performance metrics

Analytics & Tracking

  • Configure and maintain Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and call-tracking tools (e.g., CallRail)
  • Implement full conversion tracking for organic visits and GBP interactions
  • Create real-time dashboards and automated reports in AgencyAnalytics
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues to ensure data accuracy

Review Automation

  • Set up and manage Google review automation campaigns
  • Boost review volume to improve Maps Pack rankings
  • Monitor review growth and report its impact on SEO metrics

SEO Content & Backlink Management

  • Create SEO briefs for content teams with keyword and metadata guidance
  • Plan and track monthly backlink acquisition strategies
  • Measure backlink performance and impact on domain authority

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years hands-on experience in local SEO, including GBP optimization and citation management
  • Expertise with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, GTM, BrightLocal or similar tools, and Local Falcon or equivalents
  • Proven track record setting up and troubleshooting SEO tracking implementations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear, actionable strategies
  • Experience collaborating with content writers and link-building vendors
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently
  • Self-starter mentality with adaptability in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with Yext, Moz Local, or other local marketing platforms
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for troubleshooting SEO issues

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant local SEO experience
