Position Overview

We are seeking Field Service Technicians with a background in industrial power generation, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance. This role is ideal for hands-on professionals with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to exceptional service. Technicians will support customers in the San Jose, Los Angeles, and Chandler areas, with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Rotary UPS systems (QPM, APM, SPM).
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, including AC/DC control systems (highly desired).
• Use software tools like SCADA and PLC for remote diagnostics (training and helpdesk support provided).
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
• Provide technical support to clients, partners, and internal teams.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors during on-site work.
• Maintain accurate service reports and communicate with customers.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.

Education & Experience

• Associate Degree or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in the power generation, UPS systems, or industrial electrical maintenance fields.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers).
• Experience with diagnosing PLC/SCADA systems (a plus).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Passport or ability to obtain one (some travel may be international).
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, service reporting tools, etc.)

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable with overnight travel (up to 2 weeks) on short notice.
• Available for after-hours on-call rotations.
• Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to continually learn and adapt in a technical environment.
