Job Overview

We’re seeking a Procurement Category Manager – Structural to lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management across solar (PV) and energy storage (BESS) projects. This role is ideal for someone with deep industry knowledge in structural components, excellent negotiation skills, and experience managing supplier relationships in the renewable energy sector.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to identify supplier needs and drive cost-effective procurement strategies. You'll also manage contract negotiations and lead supplier performance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to define supplier requirements.
• Identify and qualify potential suppliers in the structural components space (racks, piles, trackers, etc.).
• Develop and manage competitive Request for Proposals (RFPs), and award contracts based on strategic evaluation.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) to secure optimal terms, pricing, and lead times.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier performance management and relationship building.
• Lead quarterly supplier reviews and coordinate performance scorecards.
• Resolve supplier escalations and maintain smooth procurement operations.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
• 5+ years of procurement/category management experience, preferably in the solar energy, BESS, or construction industries.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Strong knowledge of structural components used in utility-scale energy projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
