About the Team

Join Airbnb’s Channel Communications team, the creative force behind the company’s communications strategy across social media, influencer collaborations, and press. This team shapes how Airbnb’s brand connects organically and meaningfully online.

Role Overview

As the Social Lead, you’ll be at the heart of driving Airbnb’s social presence on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Your mission: to harness real-time social moments that spark brand love, keeping Airbnb culturally relevant and top-of-mind among key audiences.

You’ll lead a talented team of social creatives and producers, setting creative standards that challenge norms and ensure every piece of content cuts through the noise with authenticity and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a dynamic social programming strategy that drives brand relevance and cultural resonance.
  • Identify and capitalize on real-time social trends and moments, swiftly ideating content that connects with audiences.
  • Set clear creative principles to differentiate Airbnb’s presence on social feeds and challenge the status quo.
  • Lead and inspire social creative teams to produce reactive, culturally resonant content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to balance speed, risk management, and creative excellence.
  • Analyze social content performance and apply insights continuously to improve engagement and reach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Proven success leading social creative teams and delivering impactful real-time social content.
  • Deep expertise in creating innovative, engaging content specifically for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Exceptional writing, verbal communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with agility and strategic insight.
