Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif visited Azerbaijan and met its president Aliyev in the city of Lanchin.
Trilateral summit:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Azerbaijan to attend the trilateral summit of Pakistan , Turkey and Azerbaijan. The prime minister also visited Turkey and discussed pak-ind relationship and regional peace alongside economic growth and many more .
Prime Minister visit to Turkey, Iran and Azerbaijan:
Before Azerbaijan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Turkey along with Pakistan Army chief Asim muneer and discussed both pak-turkey relations. Prime Minister of turkey said: “ Our complete support is with Pakistan” Pakistan Prime Minister visited Turkey on the invitation of their President Tayyip Erdogan.
Later a dinner was also hosted by Turkey’s president where he discussed ceasefire and Pakistan’s position on the tension which was going between India and Pakistan. He assured that his whole support is with Pakistan .
Pakistan- Azerbaijan relations:
Prime Minister Shehbaz sharif also meet president of Azerbaijan where president of Azerbaijan said : “ People of Azerbaijan stand with Pakistan in every situation”. These two countries openly supported Pakistan along with China. Pakistan’s Army chief Asim Munir also met the Iranian Chief of general staff in Tehran .
Shehbaz Sharif offered deliberation meetings to India on topics of water treaty , Kashmir and regional peace. According to Radio Pakistan shehbaz sharif and ilham aliyev discussed political and cultural relations with each other and both countries agreed to invest further on projects .
Shehbaz Sharif was received by Qasim Mohiuddin. Pakistan’s delegation includes ishaq dar , Information Minister Attaullah tarrar and Tariq fatehmi. Military discussions were held by Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir in Tehran where he briefly explained Pakistan stance on Kashmir and also regional stability.
According to Prime Minister office shehbaz sharif was congratulated by Azerbaijan on Pakistan’s success over pak-india conflict.
The Government of Pakistan posted a video on their twitter account where the President of Azerbaijan is hugging the Pakistan Prime Minister. The Government of Pakistan called it an important tour for Pakistan’s economy, peace and further projects.
Shehbaz Sharif thanked Azerbaijan for supporting Pakistan on the conflicts going on between Pakistan and India. Azerbaijan agreed to exchange delegations for further meetings which will cover investment opportunities and both countries’ economic growth. Both presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey will attend a trilateral summit where trade , defense , economy and mutual investments will be discussed.
This meeting shows close relations between Pakistan , Azerbaijan and Turkey and their same stance on Pak-India conflict. The summit is going to held in launching city of Azerbaijan.
Conclude: Pakistan’s Minister Shehbaz tour will end at Tajikistan likely on May 29 and 30. In Tajikistan shehbaz sharif will attend the international national conference on glaciers which is going to be held in Dushanbe.
