The upper regions of Pakistan experienced heavy rainfall on 24 May . The temperature of Islamabad went down to 22C from 44C.
DMA advisory: The national disaster management authority advised people to avoid unnecessary travel and stay alert. In twin cities Islamabad and Rawalpindi heavy rain fall is reported. Heavy snowflakes seen in locations of the blue area and i8 sector.
Heavy rainfall , thunderstorms made weather more pleasant, especially in Muree where the temperature recorded 17C on Saturday.
Rainfall is expected till 27 may along with heavy thunderstorms. After rainfall heavy water is seen on roads , complete blackouts in few areas and also there is risk of landslides in Muree.
cording to NDMA : There is a high risk of landslides in the Galiyat and Murree. NDMA advises people to avoid driving cars in this weather and stay in hotels . Mardan , attock , abbottabad and haripur have reported heavy rain.

10 people died in these storms
●1 person died in Rawalpindi
●3 deaths are reported in jehlum
●In sialkot and mianwali two deaths are reported
●While in Islamabad one death is reported
45 People in Punjab got injured in heavy storms. News of fallen tree’s, solar panels have been reported. The provincial disaster management authority announced aid for people affected by storms.
Many buildings were unstable, resulting in collapse and death according to news. In Lahore the roof of a factory collapsed which resulted in one death and seven people got injured.
Rainfall is common in Pakistan in monsoon season and according to PDMA one day earlier they issued an alert of heavy rain fall and strom in Punjab Province.
The Chief Minister of Punjab advised PDMA to stay alert . She took notice of storms in areas of Rawalpindi and advised to utilise all necessary measures to help people.
All commissioner’s, deputy commissioner’s and rescue services are ordered to stay alert and visit the affected areas. After storms electricity feeders tripped in many areas and because of that complete black down is seen in areas of Faisalabad, Haripur and Muree. Heavy rainfall is expected in Punjab on 27 May along with 50% precipitation in twin cities ( Islamabad and Rawalpindi).

Weather forecast: According to weather forecast heavy rain is expected in areas of Punjab till 28 May . People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel. A flight from Karachi to Lahore was hit by several storms but fortunately passengers landed safely.
PDMA advised people to stay away from electricity poles and people should stay inside during lightning storms . Motorways of some cities are temporarily closed because of these storms.

●If you are caught in strom avoid contact with water as it can be dangerous.
● Charge your phone , laptop and all necessary electrical equipment .
