A natural disaster has been declared in New South Wales, Australia as recent floods cause 50,000 people to evacuate. Heavy rain is expected the whole week and for safety purposes residents are evacuating .
Three people died in heavy rainfall. A natural disaster has been declared after four months of rainfall in two days. According to Police a 63 year old man died in a flooded home near taree and it’s 300 kilometres north of sydney. Another body is found in the Mid North Coast age near 30s.
According to the state premier of new south wales Chris minns : “ I must also say that we’re bracing for more bad news in the next 24 hours. This natural disaster has been terrible for this community” . Police said an elderly couple was found on the roof of their car to escape a flood before a rescue hospital reached out to them safely.

In this emergency situation 2,500 workers have been deployed to the region including boats , drones and aeroplanes. Two men and one woman died in these recent floods , more than 100 schools closed.
Authorities launched a search operation as people clambered atop cars, houses and highway bridges to escape fast-moving flash floods. Police said they were still searching for one person reported missing.
According to Business owner Jeremy Thornton said the “gut-wrenching” flood was among the worst he had seen in his whole life. The town of Taree was hit hard . Taree got 415 kilometres more rain at least four times compared to the usual month of may. According to the Research University of Australia :

According to Emergency management minister Kristy McBain : “ Situation is not good as the rain has not stopped yet and some rivers may still rise”. Separate searches are underway for missing people on the North Central Coast.
Antony Albanese expressed his condolences to the victims family and said the situation is devastating.
